Happy Valentines Day!

Today I threw a tea for the younger girls in our church and I had a
blast! We spent all morning creating good things to eat and spent all
afternoon eating them (sort of). In the spirit of the day I gave a
testimony about all of the “significant others” in my life – it was a
short talk. jk. I mostly talked about how the Lord had worked through
many circumstances to make Himself the love of my life and I can truly
say that He is – sorry to any hopefuls .
Tonight we have my brother’s family over and Granny. We cooked
steaks for dad and we assembled plates of goodies for the guys so they
would be jealous of our afternoon of fun while they were out working –
ah, such men.

And the winner is……………….

The Sherrods!

Last night Daniel, Rebekah, Sarah, Anna and Michael came to our house
to partake of our extensive selection of ice cream. With that kind of
decision put before you it is hard to choose just one; “so many
flavors, such little bowls”. Consequently we packed our dishes with
such combinations as cookies and cream, kings cake, cinnamon, cake of 3
milks, and birthday cake, truly a sight to behold and a delight to
consume.

Adequately primed, we spent the rest of the evening playing “Imagine
If” and “Apples to Apples”. Little did our unsuspecting guests know,
but we use the ice cream to lure them into a state of unsuspecting so
that we are able to find out there deepest secrets. Daniel secretly
wishes to be a diamond ring but has problems selling himself; Rebekah
on the other hand, “pumps iron” to improve her “hug” and some inference
to her habits with a “blow dryer” were thrown in confirming her in our
minds as “differently interesting”; Sarah put out the notion that
penguins are courageous and Timothy liked it, thus giving a whole new
definition to the word.

Good times with good friends, I think God for the community of Christians in which He has placed us.

What a great week! here are the highlights:

Brian, Stacie and I just had a good, long discussion on the front porch in the dark. Good bonding times.

My sisters, mom and I went to see a ballet today put on by a group from Russia.

I ran 7 miles on Friday and biked 15 on Saturday.

I checked our freezer and we had 12 half gallons of ice cream in there – God’s bountiful blessings!

Spent an afternoon with Mikaela, Glory, Halle and Will.

Our family went out witnessing on Friday.

Stacie and I are going to an evangelism conference tomorrow.

Bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits.
