I guess I should update seeing as it’s been a little while. I guess the biggest news is that we’re both sick.
Some bug has been going around campus and we got back just in time to catch it. I was sick last night and Brian was quite a hero in caring for me. We were at the dining hall helping with clean up after a big formal dinner for graduation and I had to call him out of dish pit so he could take me home. He was so nice and did anything he could to help me feel a little better or get more comfortable. He even cleaned up after I got sick.
I spent today trying to get some stuff done while slowly recouping. We were supposed to run 15 miles today but that kind of got dropped. All went fairly well until after dinner tonight, when Brian started heading down hill. I get to try and repay some of his kindness from yesterday. You could pray for our quick recovery – fortunately this bug doesn’t seem to last too long.
*edit*  Poor Brian got hit pretty hard last night but seems to be over the worst of it now. I was real impressed with how he handled himself though – he cleaned up after himself and took care of everything. All i had to do was feel sorry for him when he came back to bed each time. Now he’s sleeping fairly peacefully and I’m  making some hot tea for me. I just praise God we weren’t both that sick at the same time!
And so life continues on……

Welcome to our house! If you are here for the virtual tour of the new
Cahill residence then please step inside and make yourself at home – we
do!

At first you would be greeted with quite a site! But through hard work this weekend, Brian and I have put everything to rights and transformed our living space from this…..

To this!

Next you shall see our kitchen, where we have already enjoyed several good meals. The bathroom is complete with a his and hers sink – a definite plus in getting ready in the morning).

The bedroom is a great little sanctuary – the head board was perfect – thank you to dad who got a hold of it for us. The bedside tables were picked out on Saturday complete with the matching lamps – Brian had a hand in this and did a great job – nice touch to the room.

Brian’s biggest contribution was to the work space for the two of us. My computer is on the left – that’s where I’m sitting right now. He found these great desks, the little console for inbetween them and has set everything up where we can hook our laptops into the keyboards and monitors. He got the laptops, another server and all the cords neatly stowed away in the middle cabinet through an ingenious piece of workmanship.
Best of all, he got this great idea for altering our desk drawers into keyboard trays. Last night we took them over to the wood shop and viola!

We got them cut down, sanded and stained all within an hour! He constantly amazes me with his hidden skills – he’s quite handy with the jig saw!
Well, that’s all for now, just wanted my readers to know that we’re still alive and kicking, (You’d better believe it – Brian took his PT test this morning and aced it while I ran ten miles). Now I must go about my wifely duties Glad you could stop by!

This is a post for my wonderful brother, Brinan. Brian is such a wonderful guy and loves my sisters and me so much! I wish that everybody had a brother like Brian. Brian can do all kinds of neat things, like cool computer stuff that I wouldn’t ever know how to do, build neat things (like the shelf in Brian’s room at school), and Brian can do some awesome board breaks. Brian can even sorta get those unruly ALERT Cadet boys to march in a kind of straight line. Brinan is so awesome!!

So, because I love him so much, I decided to convince my Brian to stop by South Campus and take Brian out to eat because Brian doesn’t often get real meat there. So we went to a steakhouse, where Brian and I ate steak and Brian got a scrumptious looking hamburger with bacon and cheddar. All too soon, Brian and I had to leave, so we said good bye to Brian and went on our way.

I can’t wait until I get to see Brian at Thanksgiving!!!

I love you Brinan!!

More winter wonders.

Hey, the water is stiff! It makes for really hard paddling – Sorry Brandy, I tried to use the form that you taught us but it all kind of goes to the wayside when you have to hack your way through to the water.

Next we tried snowshoes! These are really cool – Brian found some that had been issued to him during the last winter Basic here at Northwoods and they still had his name on them! I practiced walking and running around a bit.

Well, snow pants would have been nice, but jeans work in a pinch. They get a little wet from the snow and then freeze solid! They make a funny clink noise when they hit together as you walk.

We made tracks – with the snowshoes – spelling out Brian (heart) Amy. That’s my man lying in the middle! Isn’t he great! We’ve been having the best time here! God has been wonderful.

A Fairy Tale
Once upon a time there was a big snow frog. (He was an albino) He was so big and so cold that no one wanted him to live in their pond (icebergs/titanic type thoughts). So the poor frog had to live way up north in the cold of Michigan.

Along came a Texas girl and she thought snow was really neat! She wanted to see more than usually came to Texas and she heard that the snow was great in Michigan so she went up there. While in Michigan she met the snow frog and thought he was so cute that she gave him a kiss!

And wonder of wonders, he turned into a snow man!

Well, what did you expect? A prince?

I guess there are some similarites.
